Long Nail Care Tips

Keeping long nails could be a full time job as they require a lot of care and neglecting them could result in defected de shaped nails. The following tips are the Do’s and Don’ts of keeping good nail.

Do's

  1. Wearing nail polish all the time can be bad so once in a while remove it in order to allow them to breathe.
  2. Keep a pack of cream or moisturizers near the kitchen sink and use it each time after washing dishes.
  3. Try to wear gloves while doing housework or gardening.
  4. Oil is also good for your nails so apply it whenever possible it gives them strength..
  5. Try taking calcium and vitamin A in your daily diet..
  6. Keep your manicure set clean.
  7. Have a manicure done once a month.
  8. If nails are brittle and break or split easily, keep them oiled.

Don'ts

  1. Don't use your nails on a job that can be done just as well with a pair of scissors, pliers. This can severely disfigure them.
  2. Don't file nails when they are wet.
  3. Don't wash clothes or dishes in very hot water
  4. Don't bite biting is the worse habit.
  5. Don't clean your nails with a sharp metal instrument - use a nail brush and orange stick instead.
  6. Don't leave your hands in detergent for long they are harmful for your nails.
  7. Never peel-off your nail polish - always use a nail-polish remover.
